Dental Crowns & Bridges

Model of implant supported fixed bridgeCrowns and bridges are two of the most commonly used restorative dentistry solutions. Dental crowns fit over the top of damaged and decayed teeth to fully repair the tooth. Fixed bridges are replacement teeth fused to dental crowns that are attached to healthy surrounding teeth. Both restorations can be crafted from a variety of high-quality materials.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Shaded to exactly match the smile, composite resin is applied in a putty like form directly to the tooth where it seeps into small pits and grooves creating a strong, long lasting restoration. Once we’ve shaped the filling into position, a curing light is used to harden the filling into place.

Dentures & Partial Dentures

A gum colored base material is precisely crafted to fit snuggly against remaining teeth or gum tissue. Replacement teeth are then attached to the denture base filling in smiles or replacing an entire arch of teeth.

Root Canal Therapy

When this occurs, the nerve system of the tooth is directly affected leading to a toothache and dental sensitivity. Root canals are treatments used to remove damaged pulp and nerve tissue and replace them with similar biocompatible substances.

Tooth Extractions

Man in dental chair holding his cheekAt Miller Dental Arts, our dentists never want to extract patients’ teeth, but there are some cases where this is the best solution. When we need to remove teeth, our team provides safe, comfortable extraction, and we’ll begin the tooth replacement process at the same appointment when this is necessary. Some of the reasons tooth extraction may be unavoidable include:

  • Severe tooth decay or damage especially if surrounding and opposing teeth may be adversely impacted by the damaged tooth
  • In preparation for orthodontic treatment that is needed due to severe crowding
  • Before designing and placing a partial or full denture
  • Wisdom teeth, third molars, are the most often extracted as lack of space to accommodate this final set of teeth can lead to a number of adverse oral health effects

Sedation Dentistry

Relaxed woman with hands behind headSedation isn’t necessary for many of our patients because our caring dentists and team members take the necessary time to provide treatment that patients understand and feel confident in. However, we do recommend nitrous oxide sedation for patients who experience any of the following concerns:

  • Severe dental anxiety or phobia that makes treatment without sedation unsafe or severely uncomfortable
  • Sensitive teeth, gums, or gag reflex that inhibits safe and effective treatment
  • Need for extensive or numerous treatments in fewer visits

Our caring team will work with you to determine whether or not nitrous oxide sedation will be necessary. If you choose nitrous oxide, the administration is safe and simple. You’ll wear a nasal mask and breathe in nitrous oxide throughout treatment. We can quickly adjust dosage to ensure you remain at ease. Best of all, the sedative effect wears off as quickly as it sets in, so you can go right back to your daily routine.
